WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

At Kinondo Kwetu Hospital, we are deeply grateful for the transformative partnership we have shared with Surgical Aid for Kenya (SAfK). Their unwavering commitment to improving surgical care in underserved communities has had a profound impact on the lives of countless patients in our region.
Through their support in organizing and facilitating surgical camps, SAfK has enabled us to provide life-changing procedures to individuals who otherwise may not have had access to specialized medical care. Their team of skilled surgeons, medical professionals, and dedicated volunteers have worked hand-in-hand with our staff, fostering knowledge exchange and enhancing our capacity to deliver high-quality surgical services.
The success of these camps is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared purpose. Together, we have restored hope, alleviated suffering, and empowered communities through accessible healthcare.
On behalf of Kinondo Kwetu Hospital, I extend our heartfelt appreciation to Surgical Aid for Kenya for their generosity, expertise, and tireless efforts. We look forward to continuing this impactful partnership, expanding our reach, and creating even greater strides in surgical care across Kenya.

Kinondo Kwetu Hospital

Kinondo Kwetu Hospital is one of two private hospitals in Kwale County, Kenya. The hospital was established in 2008 by the Kinondo Kwetu Trust Fund. The hospital was created due to the lack of healthcare access to the local villagers. The hospital is ranked as a Level IV hospital; a sub county private hospital with primary facilities. Kinondo Kwetu Hospital is comprised of 42 beds in various wards: male, female, pediatric, labor, and post-natal. The hospital now sees over 100,000 patients annually including over 1000 babies born in 2022. Kinondo Kwetu has two operating rooms that are made available to us during our mission trips.

Kinondo Kwetu Trust

Kinondo Kwetu Trust was started after the owners of the Kinondo Kwetu Hotel saw that villagers near their hotel had little to no access to healthcare and very little access to schooling. The population of Kinondo are among those with the lowest income per capita in Kenya, and the trust is working to support these villagers. There are three main focuses of Kinondo Kwetu Trust: to run a high-quality health center, to support a primary school, and to sponsor children whose parents cannot pay.
